Aguiar Castle is a point of high tourist interest. It is a rock castle, supported by a gigantic granite rock, whose origins date back to the 9th/10th centuries. Inquiries from 1220 refer to a functioning fortress, which could have been part of a manor's residence. It is a monument of national interest, meaning that it is protected, included in a classified natural area, and benefits from easy access. The viewpoint implemented at the highest point of the fortification allows a panoramic view over the Aguiar Valley. Aguiar Castle, and all its natural surroundings, can be visited without the need for an appointment.
